The Search Committee for the selection of the Chief Executive Officer of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra is pleased to announce the successful completion of the interview process. The final rounds of interviews were conducted at the Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra campus on 11 and 12 August 2026.
The Search Committee comprises Justice (Retd.) Shri Permod Kohli, Lieutenant General (Retd.) Shri V.K. Chaturvedi, PVSM, AVSM, SM Veteran, and Nuclear Scientist Dr. Suresh Hawre. Their collective expertise spans Defence, Judiciary, and Administration, bringing diverse perspectives to the evaluation of candidates for this significant institutional leadership role.
OVERVIEW OF THE SELECTION PROCESS
The Committee has completed a rigorous, transparent and comprehensive evaluation spanning multiple stages. A total of 16 professionals representing diverse sectors and backgrounds were invited for face-to-face interaction at Ayodhya, representing less than 0.3% of all applicants. These individuals, aged between 50 and 70, bring expertise from Army Veterans, retired IAS and IPS officers, and professionals from various government and non-government services.
MULTI-STAGE SCREENING
The evaluation process comprised multiple rounds designed to identify the most suitable candidates:
Round One: Initial applications received totalled 5,585, of which 3,877 included detailed Curricula Vitae. All applicants with CVs were requested to provide comprehensive information on management capabilities, experience in handling large-scale events and personnel, personal excellence, language proficiency, vision and strategic plans.
Round Two: Of the 1,580 candidates whose submissions were comprehensively evaluated, approximately 111 candidates were invited for online interactions conducted over several days. These candidates were assessed on communication skills, professional experience, vision, personality, leadership qualities, and technological acumen.
Round Three: Following the online assessments, 16 candidates were selected for face-to-face interaction in Ayodhya, representing the top candidates from Defence, Bureaucracy, Corporate and Industrial sectors, Education, and Information Technology. The evaluation focused on management skills, personality, vision, strategic plans, technology expertise and leadership potential.
PROFILE OF FINALISTS
All 16 candidates invited for the final round are accomplished professionals and significant achievers in their respective fields. The selection demonstrates a commitment to identifying leaders with proven track records across multiple sectors, reflecting the diverse expertise required to lead an institution of national and international significance.
NEXT STEPS
The Committee will now proceed with the evaluation of the final candidates and share the panel of three names with the Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra in due course. The trust will make the final announcement. The entire process reflects a commitment to merit-based selection, institutional excellence and transparency.
